Prelude to a Wedding

At first it’s easy in this realm

of white and flowers.

Lace draped from wrist to wrist,

china patterns the secret Braille of

a successful marriage.

But… Doubt checks in...

Questions fly like rice

My mother asks why I’m crying.

“I don’t know what I’m doing” I sob.

“Don’t let go,” she says. Love is

such a strange word. It can be used

in so many ways. In my dreams

a gap of light,

I place a red rose petal on my tongue

anointing it with

I love you

A beauty. And so real, the uncertainty when we finally get
what we so desire, especially in
love. Wonderful the red rose
on her tongue.
Love the instrumental piece.

sometimes i wonder how many would not go thru with the nuptials if they weren't such a huge event....

The imagery and feeling is quite stunning. At first you feel excitement, the anxious, leaving us with breathless calm.

Fantastic.
