Wow! This is something of a self reflective moment for anyone who reads it. To almost look into their future with the path they are taking now and knowing to avoid it they must change course. Very good Sherry!!!!
What a timely post...I just finished watching the movie "Young At Heart". No, not the Doris Day movie, but a 2007 documentary about a group of octogenarians who sing old rock songs. If you haven't seen it, do so. It'll give you something to strive for.
White Rose, all of your recent poems (perhaps ALL of your poems) have been stellar. I especially loved the last four.... "Prelude to a Wedding," "Conversation with the Moon," "The" [Incredible] "Un-birthday," and this beautiful poem "Why Are You Crying?" You are a true artist and I am happy to have discovered you work on the web.
I wanted to leave a separate comment, because I didn't want to break the flow of the comment about lovely "Why Are You Crying."
Wanted to thank you for your comment on Columbus...I usually announce the winners so here goes. A tie between Marlon Brando and Antonio Banderas as Columbus; of course, JD as Sparrow; Peter Lorre as Davy Jones; and Reese Witherspoon as the Teacher. Am happy it put a smile on your face, and hope you enjoy "The Good, The Bad, and The Phantom."

Marty thanks so much, I don't know if all my work is stellar, but I have a feeling I'm starting to find my voice.

Hey June, I'll check out that movie, it sounds good.
Loved watching this woman travel and finding herself alone, reflecting on how she may have changed things. Brilliant!
