Babooshka Revisited

This is inspired by the Kate Bush song Babooshka.

Scented letters strewn across the bedroom

floor, there he sits, gazing tenderly upon

his wife. A small smile tugs at her lips

as eyes drowsy with love slowly open.

She reaches for him her hands like

bright colored birds flitting to and

fro among secret places. He sighs

and delicately traces a single word

along the splash of sunlight caught

in the soft curve of her hip.

Babooshka.

Babooshka she breathes.

This is really good. I especially like the "splash of sunlight" -- exceptional imagery.

Absolutely lovely!
Was wondering if you enjoy film.
Since I'm a screenwriter, I enjoy posting a mini-script every week. To the left is the script and to the right are polls of actors to choose from for those roles in the script. This week's is "The Longest Date." Perhaps you'd enjoy!
Have a wonderful day. Namaste!

I loved that song... it has been too long since I heard it, now I have to go home and tear through my old CDs.

The most tender touch conveys much. Reading this makes me remember the warmth and pulse of a lover's hands. ;) Cheers.
